RMAFP Education Sessions and Events

RMAFP’s Education Committee is committed to providing approximately 8-10 events each year with content that is approved by the AFP for at least 1.2 CTP renewal credits and 1.0 hours of CPE each month. In addition, some programs offer AAP and FP&A credits as well. Our goal is to offer our members the opportunity to earn 100% of their required CTP renewal credits simply by attending all RMAFP meetings.

We offer a host of different types of events from webinars, luncheons and even afternoon events.  The locations also vary around Denver, so there is sure to be an event happening near you!  Come join us for great food, wonderful speakers and fun networking opportunities!  Our monthly events attract 50-70 people on average.

Our program topics vary from month to month and are selected based upon member interest and current industry subjects. For example, our past programs have included presentations related to: local, state and national economy, mitigating financial and corporate risk, cybersecurity, white collar crime, and Finance and tax legislation.

Monthly Luncheons:

These occur primarily on the second Wednesday of each month from September through April of each year. The monthly luncheons begin at 11:45 AM with lunch served at 12:15 PM.  The program begins at approximately 12:30 PM and ends at approximately 1:30 p.m.

For ONE of the monthly luncheons, we will have a NEW, EXTRA session that occurs from 1:45 – 3 PM on that day.  That’s right – you can get extra continuing education credits by just staying a bit longer. Come for the credits, stay for the awesome people.  Let us know what you think of the new format and topics.  We are really excited about it!

 Other Events:

Webinars – Two webinars are held each year, which qualify for additional continuing education credit.

Roundtable – An all-member roundtable is held in the Fall of every year

Networking/Field Trip – These networking events begin in the late afternoon and end around 5:30 PM.  Each event occurs at a fun and unique location, like Infinite Monkey Theorem, The Punch Bowl Social, etc.

The Rocky Mountain Summit – Annual one-day training seminar held in May of every year. 

Additional Educational Opportunities through our Alliance Partners – The RMAFP has teamed up with other local and regional organizations to bring you even more educational and networking opportunities.  We update our event listing with these occasions, so be sure to check back on our events page for more details.
