Partnerships With Banking and Vendor Members
RMAFP offers a variety of ways for banks and vendors to partner with and support the RMAFP. Although the RMAFP does not permit direct sales efforts to members, the organization does work with banks and other service providers to facilitate interactions with practitioner members through RMAFP activities. Banks and other service providers graciously support the RMAFP financially through multiple sponsorship channels, which allows us to offer such activities as luncheon meetings, networking sessions, tours of local businesses and organizations, the annual Summit event, etc.
Partnerships With Other Professional Associations
Over the years, RMAFP has partnered with other regional professional associations to host joint meetings of mutual interest to members. Examples include joint meetings with the Colorado Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and WesPay.
Partnerships With Regional AFP Organizations
The Partnership Committee and the RMAFP is always seeking opportunities to partner with our sister AFP organizations particularly those in neighboring Western states. We do this through shared webinars, our annual Rocky Mountain Summit, research projects and cross promotion of events,
STUDENT/HIGHER EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS
RMAFP’s Partnership Committee offers university undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to explore the world of banking and treasury management. We invite students from three local universities; University of Denver, University of Colorado Denver and Regis University, to attend our monthly luncheons, to meet RMAFP members, learn about our world, practice networking skills, and pursue their career aspirations.
Typically, 6-8 students attend each luncheon meeting, free of charge. RMAFP assigns a RMAFP member to “mentor” each student at the luncheon meeting, introducing the student to other members, and generally making the student feel at home and welcomed. Students also participate in the annual RMAFP Summit, where they assist with organizational tasks but also get a chance to sit in on educational sessions and meet working professionals.
The Partnership Committee is currently exploring longer-term mentorship arrangements between RMAFP members and students.
