Moderator: Alex Austin, VP, Regional Deposit Manager - Development
Bank of Colorado Born and raised in Colorado, Mr. Austin graduated from Metropolitan State University with a B.S. in Business Management. Mr. Austin has been in banking for 15 years where he has specialized in Deposit Services, Treasury Management and Development. Mr. Austin works with a multitude of medical offices, operating businesses, Internet/marketing firms, law firms, state districts, non-profits and family-owned real-estate firms. He currently holds multiple board positions with local non-profits in the Denver Metro area. He enjoys all the benefits of the Rocky Mountains from hiking, camping, skiing, to spending weekends in mountains with his family.
Presenter: Kyle Lehman, CFO, McGregor Square
Kyle Lehman is a seasoned business and finance professional with nearly a decade of experience. Currently the Chief Financial Officer at McGregor Square, Lehman is a key leader with strategic and operational focus. He is responsible for all the company’s financial functions, including accounting, building financial models and planning, cash flows and providing financial reports and support to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
Prior to McGregor Square, Lehman worked at ACM LLP as an Experienced Senior Audit Associate, within the industries of technology & software, retail and manufacturing, franchise, natural resources, professional services, mergers and acquisitions, not for profit and employee benefit plans for SEC, and privately held companies ranging from startup phase to $300 million in revenue.
There, he was responsible for running engagements from planning through issuance of financial statements, including budgeting, planning and managing engagements within budgeted constraints. Lehman worked on multiple engagements with complex revenue recognition, researched and prepared technical accounting memos on multiple topics in accordance with GAAP and FASB, and was the primary contact between audit teams. Lehman also supervised, trained and reviewed staff and related audit working paper.
Lehman attended University of Colorado at Boulder, and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
Presenter: Matt Stuhl, VP-Operations-Sage Restaurant Concepts, a Sage Hospitality Group company
Based in Denver, Matt Stuhl is new to Sage Restaurant Concepts, joining in May 2021 as Vice President of Operations. His portfolio includes properties throughout the US from Asbury Park, NJ, to Houston, TX and on to Napa, CA. He is also the founder and principal at One Part Hospitality focusing on concept development, technical services and market and financial analysis for hotel owners and operators. In 2019 Stuhl supported the Hyatt acquisition of Two Roads as a member of the lifestyle division Executive Committee. Prior to the acquisition, Stuhl served as the Vice President of Restaurants, Bars and Events for Two Roads Hospitality. He oversaw 40 operating hotels and resorts and 20 pipeline projects, successfully opened several notable Two Roads properties, including the iconic Cliff House in Maine, La Cantera in San Antonio and the Camby in Phoenix. Prior to his tenure at Two Roads Hospitality, Stuhl was Regional Director of Restaurant Operations for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where he managed all aspects of Food and Beverage operations in California and Arizona. Stuhl also welcomed back the JDV team into the fold in 2016 with Destination’s merger with Commune Hotels as he spent over 7 years growing JDV’s F&B operations from scratch with the opening of Hotel Vitale in 2005, working his way up to Regional Director of Operations in California and Arizona. Spending over 15 years in the bay area afforded Matt the opportunity to work with some of the best chefs and somms in The City.
He has been honored to speak most recently at the International Luxury Hotel Association’s annual Inspire summit discussing 3rd party partnerships in our industry, contribute on an F&B panel for the BLLA, and have been a guest panelist for Tasting Panel magazine. Stuhl is a certified Sommelier and worked with both the Court as well as the WSET. Stuhl holds a B.A. in Public Relations and one in Theater Performance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
