Nicholas Sly, Assistant Vice President and Denver Branch Executive- Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

Nicholas Sly is assistant vice president, economist and the Denver branch executive at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He serves as the Bank’s regional economist and its representative in the states of Colorado, Wyoming and in northern New Mexico. Mr. Sly works closely with the Branch’s board of directors and is responsible for briefing the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City on economic conditions in the Denver branch’s region.

Prior to joining the Bank in 2015 Mr. Sly was associate professor of economics at the University of Oregon. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in mathematics and economics and earned his PhD in economics from Michigan State University.

Dustin Bass, Director FMI Corporation

As a director with FMI Corporation, Dustin provides strategic insight and industry-specific advice for a broad range of industry stakeholders. With more than 15 years of construction industry experience, Dustin understands the complex business issues that clients face on a daily basis. His field experience, combined with several years of consulting practice, allows Dustin to analyze and dissect client situations effectively and provide relevant business solutions to address those challenges. Dustin is also very passionate about aligning strategic solutions with those of client organizations to maximize effectiveness through collaboration.

Dustin is actively involved in a variety of industry organizations, including CURT, AGC, ABC and ASPE, to name a few, and is known as a zealous industry influencer and networker.

Dustin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science/business as well as a Master of Science in building construction with a concentration in sustainability from the University of Florida. Dustin also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
